Dear Carnival Fans,

the Cologne Evening in September will take place on September 15—just a few days before Oktoberfest begins. This would be the perfect opportunity to get us in the mood for the world’s biggest fair again. That’s what I was thinking the other day. But thinking isn’t doing. So we took action and are super excited for the (almost) traditional “Cologne Night: Oktoberfest Kickoff 2026.” That doesn’t sound all that concrete yet. So let’s get to the details.

We’ll be celebrating this special Cologne evening starting at 7 p.m. at the DiscoBox. We’ve partied there several times before, and every time it’s been great. The DiscoBox is right around the corner from Sweet, right in the heart of the city (directions). But that’s not all. We can look forward to a magnificent indoor and outdoor area, which means we won’t be affected by the weather. We’d be delighted if you’d come dressed in traditional costume—in keeping with the theme. Every guest wearing a dirndl or lederhosen will get a free Oktoberfest schnapps at the entrance. But as always, when it comes to what to wear: Anything goes. Nothing is required.

Plus, the first 200 visitors will receive a small gingerbread heart as a gift. Musically, I’ll be giving you my whole heart and, of course, playing plenty of music from our beautiful homeland along with some of the latest Oktoberfest hits. Delicious Kölsch won’t be served in Maß mugs, of course, but will continue to be offered in a handy size. And as always, it’ll be especially affordable until 8:30 p.m. Did I forget anything with all this info? Oh, right. The DiscoBox will be specially decorated just for us.
