Kölsch Milljö

When asked about the recipe for success of the "Kölsch Milljö" program, Roland Kulik says:
"We make use of the Kölsch soul and also show that "being Kölsch" doesn't necessarily have to have anything to do with carnival." This is also the case with "Kölsch Milljö". The title says it all: "Leeder, Krätzjer un Verzällcher" are performed in the Cologne dialect and make the genuine "kölsche Hätz" beat faster from song to song and performance to performance. An important part of this is the Cologne language. In the songs, the listener often encounters expressions that seemed to have almost died out. Charly Plückthun, for example, reported in the last season of "Kölsche Weihnacht" that he was terrified of his wife. In Cologne dialect, he said: "Ich han en Mords-Kadangks vür minger Frau". In addition to cultivating the Cologne dialect, music plays the second main role at the "Kölsch Milljö". Handmade, the ensemble celebrates a musically wide-ranging program in which the audience can tell that the actors are having fun playing. Roland Kulik gladly accepted the challenge of combining Cologne sounds with classical music. He puts together an entertaining program every year with great attention to detail, empathy and sensitivity.
