In the organizer's words:
Two choirs - one from Paris, the other from Leipzig - follow in the footsteps of Gabriel Fauré. The French composer was influenced by many German and French musicians and in turn influenced the works of his contemporaries. At the first concert encounter between chorbeau and Le Chœur d'à Côté, the program will include Parisian composers such as Camille Saint-Saëns, Reynaldo Hahn and Lili Boulanger as well as Leipzig contemporaries such as Robert and Clara Schumann.
