Konzert Johannes Scheurich

Johannes Scheurich—he’s Leipzig’s deepest voice, the Bela B. of indie pop, and, not surprisingly, the Leipzig Songslam Champion. The native of Mecklenburg is just as comfortable with big emotions as he is with blunt social criticism; laughter and melancholy take turns dominating his shows. In 2020, the singer-songwriter released his impressive debut EP “Jetzt und hier” completely independently, which he has since been performing to great acclaim on stages across the country. Just over a year later, his first full-length album “Mehr davon” was released—the record-release concert at the Moritzbastei was sold out. With more than 30,000 Spotify streams, 15,000 views on YouTube, and coverage in the local press, Scheurich has been performing on stage with his band since June 2022.
