Konzert mit Ukupolalele & The Lavabirds

In the organizer's words:

Pola, known as Ukupolalele, comes from Poznań and will open the evening. She is 13 years old and has been playing the ukulele since she was six. She sings and plays well-known songs as well as her own.

The Lavabirds are four women from Madrid who play vintage tunes from the golden age of jazz and swing. They combine lush vocal harmonies with a variety of ukuleles - soprano, concert, tenor, baritone and bass ukulele. Many of their songs are inspired by strong women of the blues and jazz era, such as Bessie Smith, Trixie Smith, Julia Lee and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
