The Grateful Aid come from Aachen and play music that you don't listen to on the side. Born out of the roughness of punk rock, they have arrived at an acoustic, minimalist Americana sound - raw, earthy, without a protective layer.
Double bass, guitar and hands on wood and fur carry songs in which African rhythm roots with a rocksteady beat meet dark country, folk and roots rock. Songs about faith and doubt, about trust, confusion and loss. About change - the only thing that remains. And about the last man on the floor of the bar.
