What does praise for God's creation from the time of the Thirty Years' War sound like? And how was the mourning for the death of Emperor Maximilian I expressed in song? The Vokalensemble 1600 under the direction of Christoph Garbe presents the many facets of sacred music from the Renaissance and early Baroque, a capella and accompanied by the lutenist Helmut Weigl.
