A reunion and reunion with violinist Margarita Rumyantseva. She had launched the Duisburg KOnzert-MEDitations on March 28, 2018, together with Michael Gees. Today she comes with her electric violin and finds in the Auditorium, with its wonderfully natural-sounding acoustic system, an ideal playground for her cautiously experimental approach to the classical violin sound and its possibilities for development.

With his KOnzertMEDitationen, the pianist and song accompanist Michael Gees has created a very unique format that allows special, protected spaces of encounter and communication to emerge in the improvisational collaboration of different artists and arts - for the performers as well as for the audience. Creative collaboration and cooperation instead of competition: these are the principles of this innovative series, which has been running for years at the Consol Theater in Gelsenkirchen and has now also successfully established itself in Duisburg. For the fifth season, Michael Gees has once again invited a number of artist friends who, like him, stand for creativity that transcends borders.
