Human sensory impressions repeatedly prove to be particularly deceptive. It is therefore obvious that the perception of things is the focus of experimental psychology. After all, by seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting and touching, people experience information that has to be processed cognitively. Since 2012, historical devices and tests from the Psychological Collection have been on display in the permanent exhibition "Kopfsachen - MindThings". Intelligence and competence tests, optical illusions, haptic phenomena, precision engineering work and the history of the department are vividly explained here.
