About the exhibition:

Rios' artistic practice is characterized by a critical examination of historically evolved narratives and, in particular, the connections between image and knowledge production - in other words, ultimately the question of how certain pictorial patterns in portraiture, such as gender stereotypes, have been perpetuated and consolidated to this day. Roxana Rios sees the body as a "construct, material and representative within social orders". The work group Ode to Eris is presented in the form of three large-format banners on the façade of the MdbK as well as several photographic interventions in the permanent exhibition.
