In the organizer's words:

We have a varied and exciting program for you on Museum Night!

• Space, color, light on the 2nd floor, 6pm-2pm

Under Rosa Barba's installation Under the Canopy , transparent materials are creatively combined to create a play of light and color.

• Night blossoms on the 2nd floor, 6pm-2pm

Inspired by the plant worlds of Leipzig's crochet groups, you can create night blooms to take home and make a bouquet in the MdbK foyer.

• Ruschnyk - Bright red on the 2nd floor, 6pm-2pm

The association Guarded e.V. presents the Ukrainian art of textile printing and invites you to print fabrics with traditional patterns.

• Main Character Vibes only on the 1st floor, 6 pm - 2 pm

Become part of our most popular works, dress up and pose at our photo station. With a bit of luck, you could win Free admission to the museum.

• Good vibes in the MdbK on the ground floor, 6pm - midnight

DJs accompany the night musically. There will be relaxed sounds between downbeat, house and melodic techno. On the decks iD:Tanzen! and the winners of the MdbK Open Decks Call.

• Search for traces on the ground floor, 6pm - midnight

Follow in the footsteps of Jewish art collectors at the MdbK with this newly developed guide.

• How does your break sound? on the ground floor, 6.30 / 7.30 / 8.30 pm

A joint performance with the Leipzig artist Emilia Schlosser: With words, thoughts, needle and thread.

• Pages of the night on the 1st floor, 7 / 9 pm

For the artist Francisco de Goya, the night was the source of his artistic imagination and stood for the irrational side of society, abandoned by reason. A short guided tour.

• What lies in the dark on the ground floor, 8 pm

Rediscover the Old Masters with Director Stefan Weppelmann and a flashlight: overlooked details emerge and open up surprising perspectives.

• Wobbly contact on the 3rd floor, 8.30 pm / 10.30 pm

A moving art encounter with Yvonne Buchheim for anyone who wants to experience art in a different way: jumping, lying down, wobbling or resting - your own body becomes part of the experience.

• When art speaks to AI on the ground floor, 10 pm

Together with Director Stefan Weppelmann, visit nocturnal scenes in the MdbK collection and elicit aspects of them for an AI-based horror story, which will be read out afterwards at 11 pm.

• Slow down on the 2nd floor, 10.15 pm / 11 pm

Ever meditated in a museum? Let's try it out during a walking meditation on the terraces of the MdbK. All you need is your breath and your body.

• Good night? on the ground floor, 11 pm

Make yourself comfortable with a drink on Klara Meinhardt's Soft Utopian City and listen to a different kind of bedtime story. The story will be accompanied by SilentFilmDj.

• Coffee Bike on the ground floor, 6pm - midnight
