After an upgrade for our stars in the Zeiss Small Planetarium and technical improvements in the Einstein Hall, we are opening the doors of the Archenhold Observatory on May 25 from 2 p.m. to midnight for a cosmic summer festival for young and old.
You can expect insights into the program of the Zeiss small planetarium with new 360° fulldome technology, observations of the Berlin day and night sky with the Cassegrain telescope, the solar physics cabinet and smaller telescopes, lectures on the eventful history of the observatory in the famous Einstein Hall and demonstrations of the world's longest movable refracting telescope on the roof of the observatory. Water and air rocket launches, painting and craft stations as well as background music by DJ Lasca Fox invite visitors to linger in the outdoor area. Food trucks, drinks stands and an ice cream van will provide refreshments.
Celebrate the beauty of the endless expanses with us!
