On July 16, 2026, F.C. Gundlach would have celebrated his 100th birthday - a special occasion to rediscover his impressive work. Together with the Hapag-Lloyd Foundation, we invite you to do so: As part of the promotion of F.C. Gundlach. You'll Never Watch Alone, all visitors will receive Free admission to the exhibition on this day.

The exhibition brings together over 200 works by F.C. Gundlach - from legendary magazine covers and previously unpublished photographs to works by his companions, role models and successors. In dialog with his own works, artistic influences, social discourses, power relations, but also his love of photography become visible.

The presentation pays tribute to Gundlach's work comprehensively for the first time since his death and makes it clear how much he has shaped the image of fashion, identity and gender since the 1950s.
