Black magic meets the power of love
The orphan boy Krabat is taken in as a miller's apprentice at the mill in Schwarzkollm. There, the master teaches him and the other apprentices the miller's trade - and the arts of black magic. But the price for the power of magic and life in the mill is high. The mill is cursed. Sacrifices must be made. At the end of each year, one of the boys must die. Krabat decides to oppose the master. But he needs the help of a courageous young girl. In order to save Krabat and break the curse of the mill, both must be prepared to face a test of life and death.
