Nature unfolds an infinite wealth of shapes, colors and sounds. This provides us humans with an almost inexhaustible pool of ideas that inspire both science and art. How do we deal with nature, what can we learn from it, is there a concept of the feminine in nature? Can nature be transformed into art? We will talk about this with the head of the Institute of Geography at Kiel University, Prof. Dr. Natascha Oppelt, and the jazz singer Alexandra Cumfe. Afterwards we invite you to a concert. In her project "her tree" ( her-tree.com ), Alexandra Cumfe transforms recordings of sounds from nature into an electronic soundscape and sings her own songs, accompanied by video installations by Max Spindler.
