An almost classic spy novel or an adventure novel after all? Kristof Magnusson creates a firework of confusion and errors, about truth and deceit, love and betrayal, between glamor and danger. A poet, an agent and a teacher meet at the Russian embassy in Rome and set off for the Caucasus separately but together. The story begins in the post-reunification period, when peace, freedom and happiness seemed infinite and yet proved to be deceptive. The possibility of failure becomes a constant companion of the main characters - the end remains open.
