Accordingly, the stage adaptation by Annette Hess, Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Sommer was a complete success at Berlin's Theater des Westens. Now it comes from the Spree to the Isar for the first time.

THE SCENT OF A NEW BEGINNING

It is 1956, and the scent of a new beginning fills the Berlin air. Together with the successful songwriter duo Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Sommer (Rosenstolz, Max Raabe, Sarah Connor), author and multiple Grimme Award winner Annette Hess has created a gripping stage adaptation that tells the fate of Ku'damm with a completely new intensity.

It's going to be funny, tragic and passionate: Ku'damm 56 - Das Musical was a great success at Berlin's Theater des Westens. Former mayor Klaus Wowereit expressed his enthusiasm: "1a implemented. It's tremendous fun." And musician Adel Tawil praised: "A homage to our city." As a result, the musical went into overtime twice and won the 'Best Musical' award at the German Musical Theater Prize in 2022.
