Zappa meets cabaret; surf sounds and metal riffs ride the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, while Charles Mingus, The Who, Stravinsky, and Moondog serve as muses. With KUHN FU, the only thing you can expect is the unexpected. Just when the audience is really getting into the groove, a sudden twist takes listeners by surprise. 

KUHN FU stands for shocking moments you fall in love with, for absurdity and humor, for an almost otherworldly energy that straddles the line between parody and a profound seriousness with which they shatter musical blinders.

Since its founding in 2012 in Groningen (Netherlands), KUHN FU has blended rock, jazz, psychedelia, and improvisation into a distinctive sonic universe. The band, led by Berlin-based guitarist and composer Christian Kühn, has released six studio and two live albums to date, was nominated for the 2023 German Jazz Prize in the “Composition of the Year” category and has played over 400 concerts in 23 countries on extensive European tours. They are currently on tour with their new album *GamGumSuPon* (Berthold Records).
