Kultur im Laden 2026 in Frohnhausen

On Friday, September 4, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., many stores 
along Mülheimer Straße and around Frohnhauser Markt will stay open later so you can experience culture right in the midst of your everyday life. 

At the organic grocery store, the tattoo studio, the nail salon, or the brewery, you’ll find 
just goods and services, but also plenty of music, theater, stories, 
, and dance. 

Concept artist Veronika Maruhn and her ensemble will bring the brewery to life 
resonate with sound, serve you a “letter salad” at the organic grocery store, and make
studio.

The City of Essen’s Cultural Affairs Office invites you: Stop by, check it all out, 
let yourself be surprised, smile, and sing along. Because culture doesn’t just belong on 
a big stage—sometimes it’s waiting just around the corner, between the sales counter and 
a receipt.
