Kulturelle Sommerreise - Mittelmeer und schwarzes Meer
In the organizer's words:
Summer Cultural Tour—the Mediterranean and the Black Sea
Fri, June 3, 5:00 p.m.
Welcome Tent / BVB Gründerkirche, Flurstraße 10, 44145 Dortmund
The second leg of our cultural summer tour takes us along the coasts of the Mediterranean, through the Bosporus, and on to the Black Sea.
Anastasiia Sorokotiaha (29) is a Ukrainian singer who was born and raised in Kharkiv and has lived in Dortmund since 2022.
Her passion for singing became apparent at a very early age. She graduated from the “Klavdiya Shulchenko” Music School in Kharkiv and studied opera singing at the Faculty of Vocal Arts at the I. P. Kotlyarevsky National University of Arts in Kharkiv.
She has been intensively involved in singing for over 14 years, 12 of which have been dedicated to classical opera singing. Among other performances, she has appeared on stage at the “M. W. Lyssenko” National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater alongside the Kharkiv Symphony Orchestra.
Since moving to Germany, Anastasiia has been actively participating in benefit concerts to support Ukraine. Among other engagements, she performed at a charity concert in front of the German Football Museum in Dortmund, where over 23,000 euros were raised to support Ukraine.
For us, she will sing modern Ukrainian pop music, well-known Ukrainian hits, and lyrical compositions. These include songs by KAZKA, Khrystyna Soloviy, The Hardkiss, Gaitana, DOROFEEVA, Nastja Kamenskych, Sofija Rotaru, and Nataliia Valevska, among others.
As the opening act, Higgie will play a selection of tracks designed to bridge the gap between the regions. The music ranges from trashy to virtuosic—from pop to funky—and is almost exclusively danceable.
Culinary-wise, our guests can look forward to a selection of food and drinks from this part of the world. In addition, all guests are invited to bring their own food and drinks to our picnic. The “ice cream truck” will also be stopping by.
The entire event is free of charge!
