"When is cultural warfare war, and is it necessary to use violence in it?" - Julian Warner reflects on this question in his play "The Soldier" by questioning an icon of black resistance: Frantz Fanon.

We take this question as an opportunity to think about cultural struggle from the left, about resistant practice in cultural creation and theater making. If we are already in the middle of a cultural struggle, who or what are we up against? And if we have to fight, with what weapons?
