Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an applied scientific discipline based on the theory and practical experience of Chinese medicine, which studies the transformation laws of health and disease in the human body as well as prevention, diagnosis, therapy, rehabilitation and health care procedures. TCM is based on a long history and a wealth of practical experience. In 2010, acupuncture, as a branch of TCM, was added to the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity. At the same time, the classical TCM scriptures "The Yellow Emperor's Book of Internal Medicine" (Huangdi Neijin) and "The Book of Healing Herbs" (Bencao Gangmu) were added to the UNESCO World Documentary Heritage. The significant position and cultural influence of TCM is now recognized and disseminated worldwide.
As part of this cultural salon, guest speaker ZENG Jinlin will offer us valuable insights into TCM and share his theoretical knowledge and practical treatment experience with us. We will gain insights into the basics and core concepts of TCM, the description of the causes of diseases, diagnostics and treatment methods, such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tuina massages, cupping and moxibustion. We will also look at how we can positively influence the body to promote health through targeted nutrition and exercise practices as well as periods of activity and rest.
This cultural salon offers TCM enthusiasts, beginners and advanced practitioners alike, an excellent opportunity to learn more about this interesting and comprehensive subject. You are cordially invited to explore TCM at this cultural salon at the Chinese Cultural Center Berlin. We look forward to your visit!
