Pint of Science Berlin brings the latest scientific findings to local pubs. As part of the world's largest festival of public science talks, researchers give talks in various bars to make science accessible to a wide audience in a relaxed atmosphere. The events each include three talks in German or English on topics ranging from machine learning to biology and sociology.

Pint of Science was launched in 2012 by a group of UK PhD students and postdocs who wanted to bridge the gap between academic research and the public. The founders of the festival, Dr. Praveen Paul and Dr. Michael Motskin, wanted to bring a personal touch to science and give everyone the opportunity to meet the people behind the research. This local initiative has now grown into a worldwide festival, taking place in over 500 cities in 28 countries.
