Kultursommer Starnberg 2026 - Lindy Summer Tanz-Workshop

Join us on a journey back to the Swing Era and let yourself be swept away by dance and music that make your heart sing. 

In this workshop, Fanny and Domen will take you on a journey into the magical world of Lindy Hop—the rousing dance from the Swing Era. You’ll learn the basic steps, turns, and moves that make this dance so unique. Whether you already have dance experience or are a complete beginner, this workshop offers you the chance to learn the basics from experienced instructors in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 

The workshop is free and will take place at the Schlossberghalle. 

Duration: 3 hours (including a break).

It’s best to bring flat shoes with smooth soles and, if needed, a T-shirt to change into. You’re also welcome to bring a partner, though dance partners are rotated regularly during the class. This helps you make better progress overall and get to know lots of new people. Women are welcome to learn the lead (leader) steps, and men are welcome to learn the follow (follower) steps.

Our professional dancers:

Fanny and Domen have been a dance and teaching duo since 2013 and teach swing dances (which include not only Lindy Hop but also Shag, Balboa, and Charleston, for example) at the Vintage Club in Munich or at weekend workshops elsewhere. In the process, they’ve become true specialists in all facets of Lindy Hop and will teach you the basics with a mix of moves, groove, and technique.

Leave your everyday life behind and experience the joy of dancing while making new friends and moving to the rousing sounds of swing.

In the evening, at 7 p.m., we invite you to a social dance at Bucentaurpark. There, you can dance Lindy Hop well into the night at the Swing Lyons concert.
