Kunst gegen Bares Spezial - Das KAW Doppeljubiläum 50/25

The KGB Leverkusen is celebrating the KAW’s double anniversary—25/50—with a special edition!

25 years of Kulturausbesserungswerk—50 years of the Friends and Supporters Association!Suchaconvergence of anniversaries must be celebrated in style—that goes without saying. From September 12 to 19, the KAW will showcase all its facets; the week-long program will be announced shortly.

Cabaret and variety shows are linked in a very special way to the association’s long history, becauseWilfried Schmickler, Michael Meierjohann, Andreas Bender, and Wolfgang Müller-Schlesinger were not only there when the association was founded in 1976, but also discovered cabaret for themselves shortly thereafter, have performed at countless events in Leverkusen, and continue to perform on stage to this day. They’ll be joining many others for the“Kunst gegen Bares” anniversary special.

50 Years of Cabaret and Variety in and from Leverkusen
Wilfried Schmickler, Charla Drops, Michael Meierjohann, Volker Schmitz, Mark Welte, and many others will be there as Torsten Schlosser and Markus Steinacker guide the audience through this historic evening in their typically unpredictable and unscrupulous style. This journey through 50 years of Leverkusen cabaret and variety theater guarantees a reunion with legendary trios and soloists: from “Matsche, Wörks & Hallies, ” “Ars Vitalis, ” and “Jupp der Wall trifft Schmitz,” to Jobo, Klaus Huber, and Charla Drops, all the way to the 3 Alleinunterhalter, Futur II+I, and Gündä—presented through dynamic and moving visuals as well as in the flesh on the stage of the KAW’s main hall.
