What will we paint?

Let the colors and landscapes of Provence inspire you as you create your very own lavender painting. Unlike a traditional painting class, you won’t be copying a model here—instead, you’ll learn various techniques, color applications, and brushstrokes that will allow you to give free rein to your own creativity.

You’ll be guided step by step as you discover how light, color, and texture interact to create an atmospheric lavender landscape. Whether it’s rolling hills, vast fields, or a sunset over Provence—your painting will be as unique as your perspective on this special region.

Included: Hot beverages, water, and a Provence Spritz are included in the price.

Who is this for? All skill levels, including beginners.

What’s on the menu? A French gourmet buffet featuring various cheese and sausage specialties, food in jars, canapés...

Materials: You’ll work with acrylic paints and an easel, which we’ll provide. At the end of the evening, you’ll take your self-created artwork home with you.

Ulrike Schmidt is an experienced artist specializing in experimental painting techniques and creative educational formats. She’ll guide you through the painting process, show you professional techniques, and help you develop your own visual language. With patience, clarity, and artistic intuition, she’ll help you create your own personal lavender painting using color, texture, and movement.

Marie – Founder of Chez Madlen

Marie takes you on a journey to Provence. With her passion for France, its culture, cuisine, and way of life, she shares the stories behind the lavender fields,
traditions, and unique characteristics of this one-of-a-kind region. Between Provence Spritz, aperitifs, and creative moments, she brings a piece of southern France to life in Wiesbaden for one evening.
