Kunst mit Kuchen Das öffentliche Grün

Art with Cake is aimed at senior citizens who would like to get to know the museum and the exhibitions in a relaxed atmosphere. On the last Wednesday of every month, we offer this special art experience for which no prior knowledge is required. After a joint tour, there is time to enjoy a piece of cake together in our beautiful museum café and get into conversation.

Cost: 10 euros per person. Participation, a free drink and a piece of cake are included in the price. If you are interested, please register in advance by e-mail to kunstvermittlung@bochum.de or by telephone on 0234 910 42 30.

Group registration is not possible! Groups can book individual appointments for a guided tour with or without a workshop.

The group exhibitionThe Public Greenis dedicated to Bochum's city park, which is celebrating its 150th birthday this year. As one of the oldest publicly accessible parks in the Ruhr region, it was created in 1876 on the site of the former Allmende, the city's communal grazing land. Where cows, sheep and goats once grazed, people now stroll, play, flirt, dream and much more. The exhibition grows out of the museum and into the park, viewing it as a multi-layered biotope full of stories and asking how space and resources are shared today.
