Kunsthalle unterwegs

In the organizer's words:

The originally planned interim program, which Kunsthalle Düsseldorf wanted to carry out as part of the three-year renovation from April 2026, gave rise to the project series die Idee für Kunsthalle unterwegs on the occasion of the postponement of the renovation to 2029. As part of this series, Kunsthalle Düsseldorf will realize various projects in the urban space - exhibitions, performances, concerts, interventions, screenings and discourse formats, which will be implemented together with local actors and international artists.

In 2026, there will be five projects in urban space as part of Kunsthalle unterwegs, inviting people to take part and experience and discover familiar and unfamiliar places in a new way.
