Kurtis Blow is a pioneer of hip hop and played a key role in shaping the beginnings of rap music in New York in the 1970s. Starting out as a breaker, he quickly got behind the turntables and rocked the block parties of his time. As a rapper, he was the first hip-hop artist ever to be signed to a major label and play the first international tours. His song The Breaks became a mega hit in the early 80s and is known to hip hop fans and disco mice worldwide. Now, 45 years later, the living legend is flying across the pond and stopping off at SO36 in Berlin on 18.02.2026 on his 45 Years of The Breaks tour.
