In the organizer's words:
The Camoufleur collective (founded in 2010 by Sébastien Bruggeman, Sylvain Courbois and Morgan Dimnet; expanded in 2018 to include Michaël Lilin, Antoine Lefebvre and Céline Luchet) now encompasses a wide range of activities. However, the exhibition and event space at Rue Aristote 37 in the Fives district of Lille, France, is at the center of it all. A lively art scene has developed in and around Lille around this artists' collective.
A chance encounter between S. Bruggeman and S. Buckner in 2016 led to a close friendship. This gradually gave rise to the idea of creating a cultural exchange between the cities of Lille and Düsseldorf. After the works of a Düsseldorf-based artist had already been shown in Lille and three of his colleagues (C. Moldrickx, E. Esser, T. Hantmann and S. Buckner) had exhibited at the Camoufleur gallery in Lille, it has now been possible to realize an exhibition week at the Nilsson Initiative House. Works by Michaël Lilin, Morgan Dimnet, Sébastien Bruggeman and Will De Kroot as well as works from the Éditions Sylvain Courbois by Dorothy Iannone, Florian & Michaël Quistrebert and Christian Hidaka will be presented there for the first time in Düsseldorf.
On the penultimate day of the exhibition (Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 5 to 9 p.m.), some of the exhibiting artists will be in Düsseldorf in person. There will also be two short solo concerts for electric guitar from 8 pm - with Michaël Lilin (Lille) and Swen Buckner (Düsseldorf).
We look forward to your visit.
With the kind support of the Kunst- und Kulturstiftung der Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf.

The Camoufleur collective (founded in 2010 by Sébastien Bruggeman, Sylvain Courbois and Morgan Dimnet, and expanded in 2018 to include Michaël Lilin, Antoine Lefebvre and Céline Luchet) now encompasses a great deal. Above all, however, it is the exhibition and event space at 37 Rue Aristote in the Fives district of Lille, France. A vibrant art scene has developed in and around Lille within the sphere of this artists' collective. Having already exhibited the work of a Düsseldorf-based artist and three colleagues (C.Moldrickx, E.Esser, T.Hantmann, S.Buckner) had exhibited at the Camoufleur gallery in Lille, we have now succeeded in securing an exhibition week at the Initiativenhaus Nilsson to showcase, for the first time, the works of Michaël Lilin, Morgan Dimnet, Sébastien Bruggeman, Will De Kroot and works from Éditions Sylvain Courbois by Dorothy Iannone, Florian & Michaël Quistrebert and Christian Hidaka in Düsseldorf.
