🇮🇹 The list of Italian clichés is almost as long as the coastline of the boot-shaped Mediterranean country. Italian terms also cut a fine figure north of the Alps: adagio and tremolo, brutto and netto, stracciatella & dolce vita, Mafia and spaghetti westerns, Don Camillo and Peppone, catenaccio - you're done!
Do you think the saying "Italians don't appreciate Germans but love them, while Germans love Italians but don't appreciate them" is true?
🗺 At the Italy country evening, we shed light on selected aspects of the history, culture and politics of the country that founded the EU - with as few clichés as possible. A mini language course, the popular pub quiz with lots of book prizes and the intercultural contribution from the German-Italian cultural group CCIT "Understanding Italy better" are great additions.
The event is organized by the European Forum with EUROPE DIRECT Aachen, the VHS Aachen and the European Classroom of the Route Charlemagne. You are cordially invited to this informative and entertaining evening!
