Landesorchesterwettbewerb - öffentliche Wertungen

This coming weekend, numerous amateur orchestras from a wide range of ensembles will be competing against each other in various venues in Bochum. All of the competitions at this year's NRW State Orchestra Competition, featuring a total of 28 ensembles, are open to visitors free of charge.

The NRW State Orchestra Competition is open to symphony and chamber orchestras, wind ensembles of all kinds - from symphonic wind orchestras to trombone choirs - plucked string and accordion orchestras as well as big bands. Both youth and adult formations compete in many categories. A special feature in North Rhine-Westphalia is the "Children's Orchestra" category, in which the youngest musicians in the state can take part.
