Milonaut

Spherical synthesizer sounds, snotty brass riffs and groovy basslines meet danceable beats. A warm, virtuoso voice moves above it all, between intense vocals, rap and improvisation. Milonaut sounds as if Fat Freddy's Drop, Parcels, Sophie Hunger, Pink Floyd and Radiohead had come together to make danceable music.

The lyrics are intimate evocations between memory and the present. In dark, tender images, they tell of love, queer identity and loss. The result is a sound space that is as musical as it is literary: modern, romantic, dark - and yet danceable. Milonaut celebrates the fragility of these feelings and touches with quiet gestures.

"I cried for you, not only once and I smiled for you, at every chance"

The band thrives on its irrepressible stage energy. Anyone who sees and hears Milonaut live immediately realizes that there are four people on stage who want to sweep the audience away. The seamless transitions between songs give Milonaut a pulling effect, like a DJ set that you don't want to stop. Their sound always finds new twists and turns - the beat, sometimes soft, sometimes swaggy, sometimes rocking and rough. Milonaut creates spaces to dance and dream away.

The multi-award-winning musicians (Nahaufnahme Berliner Festspiele, Bundeswettbewerb Gesang, Busking World Cup) with many years of touring experience (Sophie Hunger, Alice Phoebe Lou, May The Muse) inspire in an intimate duo as well as in a full line-up.

After two EPs ("More Than Moon", 2021; "Dare Love", 2023), numerous concerts and winning the Colabo competition in 2022, the debut album will be released in 2026.

It is the consistent further development of their multi-layered, danceable and emotional sound and combines attitude, poetry and energy. The release will be accompanied by a tour on which Milonaut will bring their sound of intimacy, ecstasy and political tenderness live on stage.
