Landscapes of boundaries

In the organizer's words:

In this dance theater piece, choreographer Josefine Malakçi and her ensemble understand borders not as fixed lines, but as multi-layered phenomena - socially, emotionally, physically and politically. In the context of migration, the performance explores how we locate ourselves in a world full of invisible and visible barriers. In the beginning, we see each dancer alone in a small, confined space (box) whose boundaries seem insurmountable until they enter the space in between (relational space). Negotiation, memories and their own positioning in the contested space now take center stage. In the course of the piece, the action and negotiation in the in-between space becomes a new, open space in which everyone leaves their own individual traces. Where do we locate ourselves in a landscape of borders? Can we rethink borders? And how do we actively shape the shared space? The questions are both a stimulus and an impulse. After the performance, we open up the space for a relaxed audience dialog.
