Music Salon // Special Feature of “Mannheimer Sommer”: A Concert Trail in the Upper Luisenpark

Please note that on the day of the event, at 4:30 p.m., an SV Waldhof soccer game will take place at the adjacent Carl-Benz-Stadion, which may cause traffic delays. Please plan your arrival and departure accordingly. On the last Sunday in June, the Upper Luisenpark was originally supposed to transform into a musical trail to mark the conclusion of “Mannheimer Sommer.” Climate change put a stop to that—temperatures around 40 degrees forced us to reschedule the event for September, when we can expect milder weather. But even though we had to reschedule, we’ve been able to keep the fantastic program: chamber ensembles from the National Theater Orchestra, vocal ensembles, sound installations, and guest performers will take the stage at selected locations among flower beds, pavilions, and the Chinese tea house. And we’ll also be able to present the magnificent “Mannheim Wind Philharmonic” in the Baumhainhalle once again! So set out on a musical journey of discovery through the enchanted paths and groves of trees, across open meadows, and around the waters of the Kutzerweiher.
