After 10 successful years, the Long Night of Astronomy will be celebrated this year in and around the Zeiss-Großplanetarium. Look forward to a colorful, free program and glittering celestial objects!
In the planetarium hall, we will embark on a cosmic journey of discovery: Experts from various planetariums and observatories will provide exciting explanations of the observed celestial objects in a livestream . In addition, awaits you with exciting fulldome programs for the whole family.
In addition to interactive hands-on and craft activities, such as building air rockets to launch into the night sky, there will be telescope observations in the open air. Experience the fascination of astronomy up close and with your own eyes!
The secret star of the evening is comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS), which - with a bit of luck - will be prominently visible in the night sky. If it does not disintegrate before its closest point to the sun, it will be visible to the naked eye and provide a spectacular celestial event. Jupiter, Saturn and the moon also invite you to take a look at the night sky together.
