Straßenfest der Vielfalt 2026

The neighborhood initiative "Ostkreuz bleibt bunt" and RuDi-Gemeinwesenarbeit cordially invite you to the Street Festival of Diversity on Saturday, May 9, 2026. After the great success of last year's festival, this year's edition will be even bigger, more diverse and more colorful: 40 stands with initiatives from the neighborhood, four stages with live music, performances and cultural highlights around Annemirl-Bauer-Platz, in Sonntagstraße and Lenbachstraße.

Program highlights:

• 40 stands: with interactive activities and information material from neighborhood initiatives such as Berliner Obdachlosenhilfe e.V., DW Enteignen, Kein Bock auf Nazis, Leben Lernen, Omas gegen rechts, Radio connection e.V. and many more.
• Stage program: Four stages with a diverse program that represents the neighborhood and offers something for every taste.
• Music by Anna Klatsche (HipHop), Nnella (ArtPop), Fre!raum (Punk), Ostrich Party (Brass), fatigue (Punk-Rock), Moore (Disco), and many more.
• Performances by Hoop Boom Boom (hula hoop), Laughter Yoga, Arte Capoeira (dance) and the Pirates of Percussion (samba percussion & drumming workshop). Talks
• Readings by Marcel Hopp, S. Urgast and D. Müller; story time in German, Farsi, Pashto and Arabic; Q&A session with district mayor Clara Herrmann
• Activities: Family-friendly activities, play street, light installations, a tattoo campaign and spontaneous neighborhood moments, e.g. at the neighborhood speed dating: Meet your Neighbour.
• Food: soup, Thai food, cakes and sandwiches.

Together with you and many actors from the neighbourhood, we want to create cohesion and show again and again that solidarity, neighbourly cooperation and diversity are stronger than fascism, fear and exclusion.
