LATENCE

LEON-ETIENNE KÜHR & TING-CHUN LIU IN EXCHANGE WITH DOMINIK BÖNISCH-ALPÁRI & PROF. DR. LUDGER SCHWARTE

In the exhibition Interpolation of Invisible Colors, the work of Leon-Etienne Kühr and Ting-Chun Liu oscillates between artistic and curatorial practice. Together with Prof. Dr. Ludger Schwarte, who teaches philosophy at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, the cultural scientist Dominik Bönisch-Alpári, who researches and publishes at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences (MIREVI working group) on the development of intermedia collections using artificial intelligence, and the Storage team, the concept of latency will be examined from different professional and practical perspectives.

The discussion will focus on both the obvious and hidden potential of latency and latency spaces in art, as well as - based on shared experiences - the inclusion of AI in curatorial practice. Visitors are cordially invited to contribute with questions and comments.
