Latexstudien I-IIII

In the organizer's words:

Latex Studies I-IIII

Serial research performance on female workers in Munich by Malin Kraus

Latexstudien I-IIII is a serial, documentary performance about classism, female workers and social invisibility in the low-wage sector. The production uses four individual yet collective working realities that are rarely made visible in public discourse. Based on documentary research in a slaughterhouse, a parcel distribution center, a nail salon and a cleaning company, performative texts are created from interviews, conversations and the sounds of everyday working life. The four performances stand on their own, but are aesthetically and thematically linked and together form a polyphonic tableau of female work that can be seen on two evenings. Sounds and the properties of machines and materials are combined to create a sensual experience. Latexstudien I-IIII asks who is seen, whose voices are heard - and how theater can make social reality visible.
