Le Festival 2026: Marburg celebrates French-speaking culture!

From June 16 to 28, 2026, Marburg will become the center of French-speaking culture. In its third edition, the Franco-German Initiative Marburg invites you to rediscover the diversity of Francophonie through music, theater and encounters.

The festival is supported by a broad network, including the KFZ, Café Trauma, the Theater neben dem Turm (TNT), Philipps University, the German-French Society, the Hugenotten- und Waldenserverein and individual actors from Marburg's cultural scene. Together, they will perform in a wide variety of locations throughout the city: from classic stages to the upper town to unusual venues such as the Marburg Garden Center or Café Vetter.

You can look forward to a colorful, two-week program for all age groups that celebrates the lively connection between Marburg and the French-speaking world.

Price information:

The majority of "Le Festival" events take place with Free admission or on a donation basis. Tickets for selected dates (e.g. in the KFZ) can be purchased conveniently in advance online via the respective website or directly at the Box Office. Please inform yourself in advance in the program booklet or online about the respective conditions of the individual program items.
