Leif Vollebekk in Germany in October with new album

With his recently released single "Moondog", Leif Vollebekk not only releases a new song, but also announces his new album "Revelation" for September 27, 2024. After the release, he will then go on a major European tour, where he will also come to Germany for four shows. The Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is originally from Ottawa, now lives in Montreal and has already played sold-out headline shows across North America, Europe and Australia. He released his album "Twin Solitude" in 2017 on Secret City Records and achieved a total breakthrough. In addition to being shortlisted for the Polaris Music Prize 2017, he also received a Juno nomination and achieved over 60 million streams with the album. This success was followed by his follow-up album "New Ways", which received even more streams and underlined Leif Vollebekk's undeniable talent. The New York Times also praised his songs: "[They] [...] are thoughtful and restless, blooming with stream-of-consciousness verses that bear the marks of long nights alone on the road." Alongside this, he's also received other positive votes from The Late Late Show with James Corden, Pitchfork, Uncut, NPR Music, The Fader, BBC, The Sunday Times Culture, The Line of Best Fit, Paste, Brooklyn Vegan, WXPN, KCRW, Exclaim! and many more. But the singer-songwriter has also appeared on TV numerous times, such as Netflix's Feel Good and Lovesick, HBO's The New Pope, The Bold Type, Wisdom of the Crowd. The new album "Revelation", which will be released in September, comprises eleven songs and combines narrative lyrics and numerous one-take vocal performances with cinematic arrangements, beautiful sounds, well-placed pauses and lush orchestration. Leif Vollebekk's songwriting process for this album was inspired by an exploration that began with Carl Jung's I Ching and delved into the science of alchemy and the mystery of the divine. The result is at once organic, earthy and celestial, with themes of nature - water, constellations and mortality - woven into a meditation on living in an ever-changing present with existential doubts and the search for a higher power.
In October, Leif Vollebekk will be coming to Germany with his new album for four dates.
