LEIIK.ART Sommerkurs AQUARELL bei JÜRGEN MEIER

In the organizer's words:

AQUARELL course with JÜRGEN MEIER

Monday, the 29.07. to Friday, the 02.08.2024

ART COURSES AT TAPETENWERK - pure urbanity and creativity
Here you will find the perfect environment if you are looking for urbanity but also peace and quiet.
In the in-house canteen you can enjoy freshly prepared food - whether vegetarian, vegan or with meat, in the inner courtyard you can talk to the creative people, in the Shreddereicafe there is really good coffee and of course cake. The gallery rooms of the Tapetenwerk and the galleries of the Spinnerei, just five minutes away, offer interesting exhibitions of international caliber.

THE AQUAREL COURSE - Watercolor uses flowing water, pigments and paper as a medium. Watercolor pots are easy to transport. Sketch-like speed, lightness, color strength and transparency characterize the watercolor medium. Artists at all times have the light painting equipment watercolor in their luggage.

The basic course "Watercolor as a travel medium" encourages you to rediscover the medium of watercolor as a medium for travel, note-taking, memory and storytelling. First, we turn to the medium of paper, structure and color and try out different types of paper, paper colors and surface structures. Then we turn to color, gradients and spatial structures. What is color? How do we create a spatial image?

Of course, there will be plenty of practice: we will be out and about with the watercolor, taking inspiration from the landscape, things, clouds, light and sky.
