Stephan Hähnel and Malibu Gordes: “Herbs, olé! Goodbye, men!”
The DKB Foundation for Social Engagement invites you to “Reading Autumn” at Liebenberg Castle & Estate. Starting September 20, 2026, visitors can look forward to a literary program where contemporary history, humor, and literary sophistication come together.
In their reading “Herbs, Olé! Goodbye, Men!”, Stephan Hähnel and jazz guitarist Malibu Gordes combine murderous tales with musical accompaniment for an afternoon that’s as funny as it is offbeat. Hähnel plays with the dark sides of everyday life, relationship crises, and surprising twists, staging the perfect murder as a bitterly wicked literary fantasy, while Gordes’ guitar playing lends the atmosphere a rich, resonant depth.
