✨ Silent reading meets Japanese literature ✨

As part of Japan Week , we are transforming our bookshop into a silent, poetic place to encounter Japanese stories - inspired by the tranquillity, depth and beauty of Japanese literature.

This special reading party is an invitation not only to read Japanese literature, but also to experience it together. 🌸

The reading party will be accompanied by soft music, aromatic matcha latte, matcha cookies and a Japanese-inspired alcohol-free Bookworm drink - all inclusive, all with love. 🍵🍪☕✨

Instead of bringing your own book, this time you will receive one of four carefully selected books by Japanese authors when you buy your ticket - and read it for the first time together with other guests during the silent reading phases.

🎟 There are five different ticket types - and therefore five different books.
📚 The ticket price includes the respective book price plus €5 for Japanese snacks & drinks.
✨ The selected book will be ready for you at the reading party.

After the silent reading phases, we will share our first impressions - every perspective counts. Maybe you're reading a book from Japan for the first time? Or you might discover something completely new in a well-known work.

🕒 15:00 - 15:30: Arrival & toast

📖 16:30 - 17:00: Further silent reading time
💬 17:00 - 17:30: Joint exchange & conclusion
