On June 11, 2026, Johann-Günther König will present his new book "Hafen oder Tod. Ship travelers of all times tell". In keeping with the theme, the reading will take place on board the MS Friedrich in Bremen, where the maritime atmosphere can be experienced both personally and literarily. Admission is free.

Johann-Günther König, born in 1952, is a freelance author who writes works on cultural history, political economy and topics relating to human mobility. His books published by zu Klampen include "Die Autokrise" (2009), "Das große Geschäft. Eine kleine Geschichte der menschlichen Notdurft" (2015), "Pünktlich wie die deutsche Bahn? A cultural-historical journey to the present day" (2018) and "Missed the connection! Die Krise der deutschen Bahn" (2024) have been published.
