We cordially invite you to a special evening about "the pioneer of modernism" Philipp Otto Runge: Philipp Otto Runge (1777-1810) is, alongside Caspar David Friedrich, the great painter of German Romanticism. Trained in Copenhagen and then working in Dresden and Hamburg, he created a unique but unfinished work with both his realistic portraits and the cycle "The Times", conceived as a Gesamtkunstwerk: he died in 1810 at the age of just 33. On the occasion of the publication of the book "Auf den Spuren von Philipp Otto Runge" (Ellert & Richter Verlag), we would like to pay tribute to the artist in a discussion with the author of the work, Prof. Dr. Uwe M.
