Book premiere of "Planet Elmar"

Comic artist Wiebke Bolduan presents the newly published graphic novel "Planet Elmar":

Elmar has retreated to the house of his moody actor friend on a desert island. He would rather not think about what awaits him when he returns to his everyday life at home. But the sudden appearance of a ghostly visitor forces him to face the gravity of the situation - although eye contact really isn't his strong point...

In "Planet Elmar", Wiebke Bolduan vividly tells of the feeling of being a stranger in this world and of problematic friendship, of the struggle for self-knowledge and the need for a self-sufficient life - a book that takes the experience of autistic people seriously and makes it visible.

The evening includes a comic reading and a discussion about the background to the book with questions from the audience. The Strips & Stories bookshop will be in charge of the book table and there will be the opportunity to have the comic signed. The evening will be hosted by comic artist Lina Banane.
