About the author:
Elisa Hoven, born in Berlin in 1982, is a professor of criminal law at the University of Leipzig and a judge at the Saxon Constitutional Court. She has conducted research at Cambridge, Harvard, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Phnom Penh, Basel, and Sydney. Her passion is criminal law; she focuses on the origins and consequences of crime. In addition to fiction, she also publishes non-fiction and children’s books. Elisa Hoven lives in Berlin and has two children.
