Andrej Murašov reads from his new novel "Der Himmel ist so laut" and raps songs from the book's soundtrack. The coming-of-age story takes place in Bielefeld, Berlin and Sarajevo.
After a tragic car accident, Bosnian artist Nejla tries to come to terms with the death of the love of her life, Artur. Rapper Kazim wants to support her, but is himself struggling to fulfill the expectations of his Yazidi family. Dilek, who once fled her parental home, has to fight hard for her goals as a less privileged person. With his jealousy, her boyfriend Bobby is hardly any support, especially as he increasingly falls into a downward spiral due to failed ambitions. When fate strikes again, the friendship of the four is put to the test.
Artist bio:
Andrej Murašov, born in 1983, grew up in Bielefeld with a Slovenian-Russian and German family background. He studied general literature, English and Slavic studies. In addition to his work as a freelance writer, hip-hop scholar and lecturer, he has been active as a rapper and beat producer under the name "Partizan" for many years. After living abroad in Ljubljana, Sarajevo and Budapest, he now lives in Berlin. His debut novel "Alles Gold" was published by Katapult in 2022.
