Two young women, two worlds and a dream of a better life - Düsseldorf in 1901. The glassmakers are on strike in the German Reich. The workers at Gerresheimer Glashütte, the world leader in bottle production, also put out the furnaces - with dramatic consequences. Dorothee Krings follows two female biographies that are linked to the fate of the Gerresheim glassworks.
